ESL Common Abbreviations Explained

ESL students have their hands full with a number of challenging tasks. It isn’t easy picking up a language as complicated and diverse as English. When you add things like abbreviations to the mix, it can open up a whole new world of difficulty. In many instances abbreviations can be hard for native English speakers to understand. It’s important that ESL students begin learning about abbreviations right away. Such words as “Mr.” tend to come up regularly in the spoken and written world. It’s vital for students to be able to identify them rather than become confused. The Internet is a guaranteed resource for abbreviation help. Students should be encouraged to search out the answer using whatever means possible.
